Alphus Theodore Everett, 73, of Stockton died Thursday in a Stockton hospital. A native of Trimble, Tenn., Mr. Everett lived in Stockton for 43 years. He worked as a machinist for the American Can Co. before retiring. He was a former deacon of the Church of Christ in Stockton.

Survivors: wife, Helen Everett of Stockton; children, Alfred Everett, Diana Parks, both of Stockton, and Debra Cuthbert of Beavertone, Ore.; sisters, Ola Bea Sanford and Jim Bob Robinson, both of Tennessee; brothers, Bill Everett of
Tennessee, Lexie Everett and Jack Everett, both of Michigan; and four grandchildren.

Services: graveside, 11 a.m. Thursday, Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California.
