From the Journal of Emanuel Bagley:
Joseph (Belt) Bagley was born May 28th A.D. 1835, in Decatur County, Indiana-
At Butte Disappointment, in Lane County Oregon- March 29th 1859, he married Martha Eveline Gordon, (a sister to Samuel's wife)
She Died perhaps at Castle gate about the year 1884 or 1885

Their children were Samuel, Enock (died at Butte Dis.,) Mary, (died at Butte Dis.) Frank, George, and Matilda. Evaline (later) married a Nelson and died. Nelson then abused and run away with Matilda & raised children by her?? good looking- rather frail- dark hair
Joseph died June 2nd 1873 and was buried at Washoe, Nevada. Washoe is south of Reno on line of RR to Carson City. (Sister Marhta (Bagley) Wells verified in 1901 Joseph was buried in Washoe City Cemetery)

George, Joseph's son (died also at Castle gate)?? where his mother afterward died. He was perhaps 16 years of age about 1884 or 1885

Matilda was the babe when Joseph and Evaline Seperated.

Logan Nov 16, 1901. Martha says that at Pitt River, Cal, Winter 1873 Joseph witnessed his wife Martha Eveline in adultery, with one Lunsford Observe-this was but a few months previous to Josephs death. It was at evening. Eveline and Lunsford no doubt thought Joseph asleep- He was helplessly bedfast. Joseph told the story. Eveline rushed at him with a butcher Knife threatening to Kill him &c &c &c
