Mrs. Poett Dies at 91
Mrs. Mercedes Dibblee Poett, member of a Peninsula pioneer family, died at her Santa Barbara home, she was 91.
She was the widow of the late Alfred Reddington Poett, who died in Reno in 1964. He was the grandson of Dr. Joseph Henry Poett, who with the pioneer Howard family founded the exclusive community which grew into Hillsboro.
A native of Santa Barbara, Mrs. Poett, was the mother of Fredrica Poett, Mr. C. E. Russell and A. Dibblee Poett, all of Rancho San Julian and Harold Poett of Woodland Hills.
Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 pm, with requiem mass tomorrow 9:30 in the old Mission in Santa Barbara. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
