Joseph "Joe" Accardo, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, died Sunday, Feb 16, 2014 at his home. He was 93 years old, a resident of Zachary and a native of Baton Rouge. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.

Rite of Christian Burial was conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi followed by burial in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary. Arrangements entrusted to Charlet Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Patricia and Frank Millican, Zachary and Rebecca and Sidney Massingill, Watson; sister in law, Linda Mangaracino, Metairie; grandchildren, Tommy Millican, Tracye Martin and Brett Massingill; great grandchildren, Blythe Millican, Kyle Michael Millican, Shelby Millican, Tucker Millican, Randi Martin, Trevor Millican, Camden Massingill and Taylor Matte; special friends, Belinda Matte and Amy Matte Reilly.

Preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Catherine; parents, Paul and Katy Accardo, sister, Josie; three brothers, Phillip, Sam and Anthony and a grandson, Michael Millican.
