Russell B. Nowell was born on May 28, 1931 in Corsicana, TX. He passed away on February 16, 2014 in Wichita Falls. Russell was the 8th born of 11 children of Lona Ivy and Burl B. Nowell, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 7 brothers, including his twin, Roger A.
Russell was the beloved husband of Dorothy for 56 years and adored daddy to two daughters, Pam McCombs and husband Larry and Sendy Bolin, of Abilene. Russell was blessed with two granddaughters and four grandsons. Russell has three great grandsons and a great granddaughter due to arrive in June.
Russell also loved, and was loved by his extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law and many special nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, TX under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Dry Fork Veterinary Clinic of Henrietta, TX for animal rescue or the charity of your choice.
