She was the daughter of Warham St. Leger and Mary Hayward of Ulcombe Co., Kent. Her Royal descent from Edward III is given in Faris, Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth century Colonists. She married William Codd by license dated Nov. 27, 1632. Children: Mary, Barbara, Debora, Katherine, Elizabeth, Anne, St. Leger, Anthony, and Rowland.

"Mary St. Leger (dau of Sir Warham), baptized 1612, married 27 Nov. 1632 at lenham, Kent,as his (2) wife, William Codd, born 1604, of Pelicans, Wateringbury, Kent. He left a will, 10 Dec. 1652- (probated) 25 July 1653. Issue: {Codd} Mary, Barbara, Deborah, Katherine, Elizabeth, Anne, St. Leger, Anthony, and Rowland."
