Born August 26, 1931, He was the son of the late R.C Andrews and Maggie Livingston Andrews.
He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an outstanding provider for his family. Mr. Andrews was a veteran of the US Army where he served in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Harrison Andrews of the home, two sons, Rev. Dwayne Andrews and wife Susie, Timothy Andrews and wife Carla all of Boomer, two granddaughters, Katie Andrews Osborne and husband Jacob of Hays, Brittany Andrews Stikes and husband Daniel of Purlear, three great grandsons, Reeves Osborne, Noah Osborne, and Ezekiel Stikes. He is also survived by two brothers, Wilton Andrews and Verne Andrews both of Boomer, and one sister, Dorothy Andrews Rector of Valdese.
He was preceded in death by his parents R.C. and Maggie Andrews, three brothers, Ed Andrews, Alton Andrews and Clifton Andrews, and four sisters, Laurene Andrews, Audine Andrews Vaughn, Ernestine Andrews Baker and Claudia Andrews Blackburn.
Mr. Andrews retired from Sealed Air Corp. where he was employed for twenty-nine years.
He enjoyed operating antique farm machinery and attending antique farm machinery shows. Other hobbies he enjoyed were camping and gardening.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Rock Baptist Church in Boomer with Rev. Robert Webb and Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Osborne, Daniel Stikes, Tommy Livingston, Stan Walsh, Stanley Baker and Jimmy Cheek.
