Piedmont – Blanche Ella Hudson Barwick, 90, widow of Albert "Alb" Douglas Barwick, died February 16, 2014. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Louie Ballenger and Lois Hiott Hudson. Mrs. Barwick retired from J.P. Steven, Estes Plant, and most recently attended Ware Place Church of God. She had also attended Piedmont Church of God. Surviving is a son Michael Barwick (Linda) of Piedmont; sisters, Reba Gillespie of Belton, Martha Jane Holcombe of Pickens, Elaine Barrett of W. Pelzer, Stella Merck of Easley; grandson, Rodney Barwick; and a granddaughter, Cindy Barwick; great-granddaughter, Nikki Barwick. She was predeceased by sons, James Douglas "McGoo" Barwick and Charles Wayne "Snake" Barwick; and grandsons, Scotty and Brandon Barwick. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 18, at 2:00 pm at Graceland West Cemetery, Greenville. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate and the family will greet friends following the service.
