Son of Durane Elmer and Pearl Ida McKane Carson, he served in WWI, married Goldie McCool, worked as a foundry chipper at CPT Co., lived at Box 440 RD 1, Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital of a cerebral emboli and/or CVA, progressive with right hemiplegia due to generalized arteriosclerosis and myocardial insufficiency, acute bronchitis with pulmonary fibrosis, per death certificate 073618-69, whose informant was Richard I. Carson, 305 Fox St, Franklin. Buried Jul 9 1969.

Richard A Carson, 69, of Frenchcreek Township, Franklin RD 1, died at 11:35 am Sunday in Franklin Hospital. He was born in Tionesta Aug. 11, 1899, son of Duane Elmer and Pearl Ida McKane Carson.

He worked at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co, as a chipper, and was a sawmill operator for over 20 years. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are three sons, Richard I. Carson of Rocky Grove, Spec. 4 Charles A. Carson of Bamburg, Germany, and Jack Carson of Johnstown; two daughters,

Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at Burger Funeral Home with Rev. John E. Graham of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery, Polk.
