Ricchard Lincoln Daley, 83, of 16866 Shinham Road, Hagerstown, MD, passed away February 12, 2014, in his home. Born February 12, 1931 in Antrim Township, Franklin County, he was the son of the late Oliver Franklin and Mary Lucetta (Shennebeck) Daley. He attended public schools in Coseytown, Stateline, and Hagerstown. Mr. Daley was a Sergeant in the United States Army, where he was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal. He served during the Korean War, where he received the Korean Service Medal and five bronze stars. He and his wife, the late Edna May (Adams) Daley, were married on April 17, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Daley passed away in January 2000. Mr. Daley held various jobs including: farmer, ceramic tile installer and mechanic. He was last employed at Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD as an engine tester. He retired on August 1, 1985. He was of protestant faith and was a former member of the Harry Zeigler V.F.W., Greencastle, PA and the American Legion, Clear Spring, MD. Mr. Daley enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Potomac River and Canada. He is survived by one sister, Jessie Miller of Hagerstown, MD and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul F. Daley and four sisters: Grace Shatzer, Annie Rudolph, Louise Hutsler and Hilda Hoffman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, PA, with Pastor John A. Toms officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Coseytown.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Monday morning, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Pleasant Hill United Brethren in Christ Church, 3664 Coseytown Road, Greencastle, PA 17225.
