Frank Dwane Nichols, who operated a general store, in eveans for many years before he retired in 1957, died Wednesday morning at Weld County General Hospital. He was 81. Born in Taylor county, Iowa, on March 27 1890, he moved to Durango with his parents when he was a child and came to Greeley area as a young man. He entered the U.S. Army in 1917, and after World War 1 he returned to Colorado and went into business at Evans, where he continued to live after his retirement. His wife preceded him in death, and there are no close surviving relatives. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday in the Adamson Memorial Chaple. Interment will be at the Evans Cemetery.
