Mrs. Mary Lizzie (Bates) Harper was born in Sarahsville on Feb. 28, 1894, a daughter of the late James and Lou McCarty Bates.
She was a member of Stop 9 Church of Christ, Byesville.
Mrs. Harper leaves three daughters, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters. Two brothers are deceased.
