George Mott, 80, of Greensburg RD5 (Humphreys), died Monday, March 25, 2002, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Humphreys, a son of the late Joseph and Julia (Nagy) Mott. Prior to retirement, he was employed at General Motors in Dravosburg. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger, and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Jr., Paul and Alex Mott; and a sister, Ann Gogets. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary (Forish) Mott; five brothers, Steve of Greensburg RD5, John of Mt. Pleasant RD1, Mike and Andrew, both of Greensburg RD5, and Gabriel of Mt. Pleasant RD1; three sisters, Julia Bulebosh, Helen Surma and Yolanda Mott, all of Greensburg RD5; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. Panachida service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy to be celebrated in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Christopher R. Burke as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Parastas service will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
