OBITUARY:
Leonarda "Lee" Richards Myers, 82, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
She was born Oct. 14, 1928 in Lone Tree, Iowa to Joseph S. and Lee Etta (Luttrull) Richards.
Lee lived in rural Owensville for the past four years moving there from Princeton where she lived since 1934 coming from Iowa. She was retired from K-mart where she worked as a merchandiser for 20 years. She attended New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton.
She is survived by a son, Steve Myers of Patoka; daughter and son-in-law, Marla and Larry Hunter of Owensville; two sisters, Medrith Messinger of Mt. Pelier, Iowa, Loveda Cargal of Worthington; eight grandchildren, Kristie Lee Wethington, Monica Spade, Luke, Adrian, Brandon, and Zachary Myers, Austin and Clayton Hunter; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, William M. Myers; a son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Linda Myers; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Gary Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
