Mrs. Martha (Mattie) Luanna Wall, 83, of 303 E. Newton, Eldon, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 1978, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital at Osage Beach. Mrs. Wall had spent most of her life in Miller County.

She was born Sept 4, 1895, in Camden County to the Rev. James C. and Mary Eliza Bruin Thompson. Oct 4, 1914, she was married in Camden County to Joel Boyd Wall, who died March 24, 1970. Mrs. Wall was a member of the Brumley First Christian Church.

Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Catherine Williams, Eldon; three sons, Sherril D. Wall and Henry D. Wall, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Lilburn T. Wall, Republic; two sisters, Mrs. Lessie Eagle, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Cliffie Ford, Eldon; a brother, Billy Thompson, Kansas City, Kan.; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Burial was in Hawkins Cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.
