Mary Catherine (Wall) Farris, 81 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri. On March 13, 1932 she was born in Brumley, Missouri the daughter of the late Joel Boyd and Martha Luanna (Thompson) Wall.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Sherri Farris of Eldon, MO; Joel and Kim Farris of Linn Creek, MO; Jeffrey Farris of Barnett, MO; Sonny and Kim Farris of Eldon, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Sherril and Tom Couts of Eldon, MO; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Dorral Wall of Eldon, MO. She was previously married to Clyde C. Farris.
Her parents, and two brothers, Sherrill and Lilburn Wall also preceded her in death.
She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for thirty-six years before her retirement. She was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, MO. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Eldon VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary, and the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting and cooking.
Visitation will be on Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 7: 00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be on Thursday March 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Minister Chris Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley, MO. Memorials are suggested to Hawkins Cemetery in Brumley, MO.
