Ethel Marhanka White, 87, San Diego, California, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at Georgian Court Convalescent Hospital in San Diego.
Mrs. White was a retired artist, having been involved with clothing design for more than 40 years. She was a native of Crothersville.
Born in Crothersville on October 18, 1896, she was the daughter of John S. and Alice Wineinger Marhanka.
She moved to California in 1950. There she married Robert White, who survives. Other survivors are two brothers, Frank Marhanka of Belleville, Illinois, and one sister, Lavon Mozak of Lake Celina, Ohio.
A brother, the late Ed Marhanka of Seymour, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crothersville Cemetery. Kovener and Sons Funeral Home of Crothersville is handling local arrangements.
