Jacob Eckhart, age 78, died at his home 658 Gentry street yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock., following an attack of uremic poisoning a week ago. He had lived at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. L. Bush, since coming to Frankfort from Mulberry less than a month ago.
Mr. Eckhart was born in Tippecanoe county in 1842 and had spent his entire life in this section of the state. He was married in 1871 to Emma Borwn, who died several years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Mulberry.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by two sons, Clyde of Harrisville, West Virginia, and Harry of Billings, Montana. Four grandchildren and a sister also survive.
