Mrs. E. R. Eckhart, a well known Mulberry lady, died suddenly this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George L. Bush, 1…2 North Main street. Death occurred at 2:30 o'clock and resulted from a complication of diseases. Although Mrs. Eckhart had been in failing health since last October, her condition had not been considered as critical until yesterday.
The deceased, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brown, was born in Ohio, Nov. 9, 1843. Forty-six years ago she was united in marriage with E. R. Eckhart who besides three children, Frank of Harrisville, W. Va., Harry of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Bush of this city, survive. She was a member of the Lutheran church of Mulberry, the Pythian Sisters and Pocahontas and was well known and highly respected in the community in which she had resided. Six weeks ago she came to this city for a visit with her daughter.
