Francis Marion Brown was born probably in Hardin Co, TN, son of Larkin Brown and Francis Cook? of SC. He married Nancy Jane Burks, daughter of Roland Harrison Burks, Jr and Mary Taylor Pratt on Aug 17, 1864 in McNairy Co, TN. They had 12 children: John W. (1865-1893), Isabell "Bell" (1866-1954), Thomas William (1868-1943), Mary (1871-1908), Susan "Susie/Sudie"? (1872-1955), Oscar Franklin (1875-1954), Annie Laura (1878-1948, Rebecca "Becky" Sue 1879-1910), Rosa Lena (1882-1963), George Washington (1882-1945) Robert E. Lee (1885-1930) and one u/k.

After Nancy died Frank married a Tabitha u/k (on 1910 census) and then 3rd married a Martha *u/k maiden name* Stinson known as "Grandma Stinson". She applied for a Civil War pension on Frank that was turned down. Frank died in All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth but residence was in Itasca, Hill, Texas, USA.

Gravesite Details

When we visited the cemetery years ago there was no headstone for Frank Brown.
