Piedmont – William Clarence "Bill" Eskew, 86, widower of Orene Thompson Eskew, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Walhalla, he was a son of the late Ruby Davenport Eskew Chapman. He was retired from the Kendall Co. following forty-eight years of service. Surviving are son, Danny S. Eskew (Dianne) of Townville; daughters, Debra E. Cushman (Billy) of Leesville, Sherry Ford (Mike) of Calhoun Falls; grandchildren, Heath, Kelly, Sean Cushman, Teresa Norton, Melissa Eskew; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Babb of West Pelzer, Dot Dix of Jacksonville, FL. He was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Eskew; brothers, Melvin and Roy Eskew; granddaughter, Jill Ford; grandson, Darren Ford. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
