Captain Zebulon Hibbard was my sixth great-grandfather.
He was the fourth born son of Nathaniel Hibbard and Sarah Crane. They had 10 children.
He married Hannah Bass (1711-1792), daughter of John Bass and Elizabeth Neale.
They had 10 children:Sarah Hibbard Cleveland (1739), Lydia Hebert Hibbard (1740-she married Capt. Robert Hibbard), Hannah Hibbard Spencer (1741), Sibyl Hibbard Eliot (1743), Zilpah Hibbard Jewett (1746), Zebulon Hibbard II (1747), Jerusha Hibbard Gale (1750), Peninnah Hibbard Baxter (1752), Jabez Hibbard (1754- my fifth great-grandfather), Hezekiah Hibbard (1756), and Anna Hibbard Gillett (1758).
All lived to adulthood and married. Hannah only outlived Zebulon by five months.

Go your way to the land of the Ancestors,
where they wait for you with open arms, there on the edge between this world and the next.
See; there they stand.
Ancestral spirits, welcome this one
to the place where we all must go.
