Charles H. Graber died Tuesday evening at his residence in Chapel at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 13 days. A native of Upper Hanover township, he was a son of the late Calvin and Judith (Hoffman) Graber. He was a farmer all his life and was a life member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mabel (Schultz) Graber, in February, 1932, and his second wife, Viola L. (Snyder) Graber, in August, 1942. Surviving are five sons and five daughters: Francis Graber, San Diego, Calif.; Paul, East Greenville; Raymond, Barto; Ralph, Hereford; and Charles, Jr., stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Devens, Mass.; Ruba, wife of George Endy, Pennsburg; Jean Graber, at home; Dorothy, wife of Harold Bartholomew, at home; Mary, wife of Edward Houseknecht, Perkiomenville, R.D. and Rose Marie Graber, Red Hill. Two brothers, Eugene Graber, East Greenville, R.D., and Willis Graber, Pennsburg; two stepsons, Ernest Conrad, Kutztown, and Raymond Conrad, Pennsburg, R.D.; two stepdaughters, Marie, wife of Kenneth Leister, East Greenville, and Ruth, wife of Wilmer Lesher, Palm; 30 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ with the pastor, Rev. Nevin E. Schellenberger, officiating. Internment will be made in the church cemetery. Viewing Friday evening at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 221 Main street, East Greenville. Funeral Director Owen S. Hoffman is in charge.
