He married Myrtle Smith on August 17, 1899. She survived as did a son, Maynard Perkins of Mt. Prospect.
Mr. Perkins was a retired custodian of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro. He was one of the senior members of the First Baptist Church, AF & AM 498, Order of the Eastern Star, Electa and Ruth Chapter 379, Chater 164 of Royal Arch Masons and the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Mr. Perkins died at the age of 91 on Sunday, November3, 1963 in Arlington Hospital in Arlington Heights after a long illness. His funeral service was held at Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro. Rev. Harry Chasteen officiated.
