Effie Hogenmiller, 87, formerly of Carbondale, died Friday, April 7, in the Jackson County Nursing Home, Murphysboro, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 9, 1884, in Vergennes, the daughter of John and Nancy Doty Perkins. She was married to Peter A. Hogenmiller April 22, 1913, in Vergennes. He died Oct. 18,
1968.

A son, six brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Mrs. Hogenmiller is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Maerker of Murphysboro and Mrs. Homer Bradshaw of Rantoul.
