Ruth Elizabeth (Carpenter) Stewart, 74, of Hampton Road, Kent, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2005, at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 15, 1930 in Wilmot to Gustavus and Edith C. (Schreiner) Seibert. She was retired from Goodyear Aerospace. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kent; and will be missed by many friends in Foxmoor Condominiums in N. Ft. Myers, Florida. Survivors include her devoted husband, Harold T. Stewart; son, Thomas (Aurora) Stewart of Ravenna; daughters, Pamela Carpenter of Massillon, Donnette (Robert) Goodnight of Massillon, Jackie (Vic) McIntire of East Lake, Peggy (David) Kurtz of Kent; grandchildren, Ed, Jeff, Rick, Jodi, Shane, Jeff, Ebonie, Ian, Jason, Kyle, Jarrod, and Devin; great grandchildren, Aaron, Austin, Aubrey, Jeffery, Hailey, Ashley, and Chance; sister, Virginia Domer of Strasburg; and niece, Lonnielee (Richard) Hailey of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Don W. Carpenter; infant son, Rick Wilson Carpenter, three brothers and one sister. Calling hours will be held 6-9 P.M. Thursday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent where funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday with Rev. Doug Denton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon at 11:30 A.M.
