August H. Brown, 93, a former Lodi resident, died Thursday in a Hastings, Neb. hospital following an extended illness. A native of Nebraska, he lived there most of his life and resided in Lodi for four years, returning then to Hastings. A retired rancher, he was a member of the Hastings Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and Odd Fellows Lodge, all of Hastings, Neb. HE was also a member of the Oregon Trail Association.
He is survived by a son, W. Fred Brown of Lodi; three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Hoagland of Sacramento, Mrs. Ruth Holmes of Piedmont and Miss Helen Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandsons.
