Clyde Margaret Floyd Cunningham was born June 16, 1911, in the Shady Grove community to Earl Kelley and Lillian Opal Whitten Floyd.

She was a graduate of Paris High School and received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from East Texas State University. She taught for many years in Lamar County schools including Central Schools and North Lamar where she retired.

She was a longtime and faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Texas State Teachers Association, Retired Teachers Association, and the Paris Business and Professional Women's Club. She married Hubert T. Cunningham Sept. 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1971.
