Leah Cunningham Whitesides, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 1991 in Layton.

She was born February 23, 1903 to Thomas Deercreek and Sarah Jane Bond Cunningham in Alpine, Utah. She married Carl James Whitesides June 2, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died January 14, 1969. She was an active member of the LDS Church, served a two year mission as a German Name Extractor. She was active in the PTA. Her greatest interest was that of a homemaker for her family.

Surviving are one son and one daughter, 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Keith T. Whitesides; and seven brothers and sisters, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Road, with Bishop William Bush of the Layton 18th Ward officiating. Friends may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
