The following regarding the death of Abraham BOOHER, was taken from one of the papers published in Nodaway County, Missouri:

Abraham BOOHER, Sr., one of the pioneer residents of this section of Missouri, and one of the oldest citizens of Nodaway County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maggie CARTER, in Burlington Junction, at 9 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 1924.

Mr. BOOHER was born in Interlocken, Switzerland, November 30, 1834, making him eighty-nine years, five months, and nine days old

He emigrated to America with his grandfather in October, 1852, being nineteen years old at the time. He first located in Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana.

On April 18, 1857, he was married to Miss Lydia OVERMAN. In 1865, he and his wife came to Nodaway County, Missouri, and located at Maryville. He lived in Maryville for seven years and then bought a home east of town, and made his home there until about a year and a half ago, when he came to Burlington Junction and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. CARTER.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Benjamin BOOHER, Burlington Junction, Abraham BOOHER, Jr., St. Louis, and Mrs. Maggie CARTER, Burlington Junction. One son, Isaac BOOHER died just a week previous to his father’s death, and three children died several years ago. His is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Mr. BOOHER united with the Christian church when a young man and was an active worker in the church. He was a good citizen and a man highly respected by all.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday, April 11, at 2 p.m. conducted by Ernest D. TAGGART. Interment was in the old QUITMAN Cemetery.
