He was survived by his wife, Willie Potter; three sons, Houston, Floyd, and John Potter; his parents, George Washington Potter, Sr. and Susie Kincaid Potter; two brothers, George Washington Potter, Jr. and William A. Potter; and two sisters, Allie Potter Moore and Duetta Potter Robinson.
