Services for Benalyn Avrett, 77 of Rockdale are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 in St. John's United Methodist Church in Rockdale. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rockdale.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Benalyn Avrett was born August 13, 1935 in Rocksprings, Texas, the only child of Ben Jack and Gerturde (Gary) Cloudt. She was raised in Rocksprings, where she was the Valedictorian in her graduation class.
In September 1956, she and Bill T. Avrett were married in Elgin, Texas. To this union two children were born. Benalyn was a homemaker. She volunteered and served as Vice Chairperson for Rockdale Christian Services. Volunteered and served as President of Rockdale P.A.W.S. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and served on several Church boards.
Benalyn passed away Saturday morning, November 3, 2012 at her home in Rockdale, reaching the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving; Her husband of 56 years, Bill T. Avrett of Rockdale. Son, Truett Avrett and wife Karen of Conroe. Daughter, Jennifer Kramer and husband Brett of Lorena. Four grandchildren, Teaghan and Tiernan Avrett, McKenna and Chandler Kramer.
Her pallbearers are; Teaghan Avrett, Tiernan Avrett, Brett Kramer, Chandler Kramer, Mike Logan, Darryl Borges and Jim Avrett.
