Dad said he was first married to a woman while he was in the Marines, and that the ship sunk while rounding The Straights of Australia. I recall this as a small child, so it may not be an accurate memory.

His second marriage was to Mildred Marie Parker, sister to his brother's wife, Hazel. There are no known children from this marriage.

I also recall Dad mentioning several times that he had been married to a woman named Lorraine Limpi Lampi (phonetic spelling)who was a Nurse. 1940 Reno City Directory Mrs. Lorraine Ashley Nurse, 25 Jul 1941 Reno Eve. Gazette

David Ashley 34, Reno and Irene Duvall 17, Sparks.
There were five daughters from this marriage.

About 1955 Dad Married Jackie Bolles Kinslow. Jackie had three sons, and a married daughter. Dave and Jackie had a daughter together, and divorced about six years later. Jackie and Irene were both from Placerville and attended the same primary School. Their Class Picture has Jackie in the upper rows and Irene in the front. What a surprise!
