Eveline Hurmence Wingert, 81, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 19, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Hazleton, daughter of Raphael & Anna May Spragg Michels. She married Donald D. Hurmence Sept. 9, 1950, in Sumner. He died June 5, 1958. She married Matthias "Math" R. Wingert June 30, 1964 in Raymond. He died Jan. 25, 1993

Survivors include: two sons, Roger Hurmence of Cedar Rapids and Clarence (Deanna) Hurmence of Hopkinton; four daughters, Donna (Jim) Higgins of Milwaukee, Charlotte Wingert of Ames; Rose ( Randy) Boehmer of Mason City; Lucy (Steve) Choplin of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren, Christine & Jessica Higgins, Christopher Kelley, Amanda (Lionel) Johnston, Sara Hurmence, R.J., Justine and Joshua Boehmer, Adam & Shane Choplin; two great-grandchildren, Emma Johnston and Calista Kelley; three brothers, Clement Michels of Independence, Walter Michels of Phoenix, and Lyle Michels of Cedar Falls; four sisters, Loretta Michels of Phoenix, Bertha Sepulveda of Dixon, IL, Rosalie Nielson of Fayette, and Dorothy Dane of Winton, CA.

Preceeded in death by: her parents; three brothers, Norman, Bernard, and Ronald Michels; two sisters, Margaret Jenkins and Shirley Michels; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Hurmence; and a granddaughter, Andrea Choplin.
