There will be no services for Rollin J. Wilson, 71, who died Christmas Day at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa. Cremation is planned with ashes to be scattered at sea.

He was born in New York, resided in La Mesa and had lived in the county for 30 years. He was a construction worker in the pool plastering business. He belonged to the Royal Order of Moose Lodge 796 and served with the Army during World War II. He also was a veteran of the Navy as a young man.

Surviving are his wife, Norma; sons Jack K. Wilson, Rollin J. Wilson Jr. and David M. Wilson; daughter Sharon L. Westman and one granddaughter.

Erickson-Anderson Mortuary is in charge.

A memorial plaque has been arranged and installed at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on their "Memorial" wall. See Cenotaph here
