ROUND LAKE - Ruth Cleveland Dodds, 90, of Round Lake passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.
Born May 11, 1922, in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Alberta Brundige.
Ruth worked for CSEA in Albany for 25 years, retiring in 1984.
She liked to travel and spent many winters in Florida. She was a charter member of the Malta Ambulance Corps.
Ruth was an excellent piano player and often played for the residents at Wesley.
She enjoyed crosswords and playing cards.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Cleveland; second husband, William Dodds; two sons, William and David Cleveland; three brothers, Robert, Floyd and William Brundige; and her sister, Jane Hickok.
Ruth is survived by her children, Robert Cleveland of Saratoga Springs, Roger Cleveland (Linda) of Round Lake, Charles Cleveland (Patty) of Silver Springs, Md., and Charlene Annese (Dominick) of Rochester; her sister, Charlotte Stokna of Johnstown; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Armer Funeral Home Inc., 39 E. High St., Ballston Spa. A service will follow at noon.
Burial will be at East Line Cemetery in Malta.
