Walter was born in San Francisco on January 29, 1912. The family moved to the Stevinson area of Merced County around 1912 and later as shown in the 1930 census they were living on Williams Ave in the Hilmar area of Merced County. Walter moved to Dos Palos around 1930 and married in 1936 and lived there the rest of his live. He was a machinist by trade and entered into a partership of the HCL Machine Shop in 1947 until his death in 1992. He pasted away at the Dos Palos Memorial Hospital from refractory congestive heart failure.
