Davenport Democrat, Davenport, Iowa,Tuesday, December 20, 1960 Page 6: Roy R. Kirkpatrick, 57, of 1825 W. 5th St., Davenport, died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Sunday in his home. Coroner Harry Runge attributed death to a heart attack. Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Born in Webster, Iowa, Mr. Kirkpatrick married Delphia A. Morris in Sigourney in July 1924. The couple had resided in Davenport since 1943. Mr. Kirkpatrick was employed with the French & Hecht Co. until 1956, when he went into the roofing and siding business. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mr. Floyd (Ruth) Egger, Buffalo, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Boetger, Mrs. Lonnie (Peggy) Pike, and Mrs. Delwyn (Rose) Kroeger, all of Davenport; a son, William J. Kirkpatrick, at home; 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Maude Schmidt, Davenport, Mrs. Bessie Biggs, Washington, Mrs. Fern Kuehl, and Mrs. Ruby Treebrand, both of Long Grove; and seven brothers, Leonard, South English, Iowa, Leo, Harper, Iowa, Jay, Dale and Roland, all of Davenport; Orville and Harley, both of Phoenix, Ariz. Two brothers preceded him in death.
