Edward C. Atkinson, 67 of Houston, Arkansas, passed from this life on January 19, 2014. He was born February 27, 1946 to the late Burl and Minnie Atkinson in Morrilton, Arkansas. Carroll Ed was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He served in U.S. Army during Vietnam with the 1st Calvary Division. Carroll Ed was a past Post Commander of the VFW 2259 of which he was a life member. He retired from Am Tran.

Carroll Ed leaves behind his loving wife Connie of over 40 years, their three sons: Sonny Cotton, Richard Atkinson (Rachel), Johnathan Paul Atkinson (Jackie), his two sisters: Sandra Mabry (Buddy), Sharon Buckner (Ronnie), one brother: Steve Atkinson (Shannon), nine grandchildren, and one great grandson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Atkinson.

A Celebration Service will be held in his honor at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Stony Point Community Building with Bro. Ken Jordan officiating.
