John came to the United States in 1881 at the age of 19 & worked in Ironwood, Mich.
He boarded for many years at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Junells.
John & Brita were married there in 1892 & moved to Felch Mountain shortly after their marriage. John was engaged as a woodsman.
2 daughters & 3 sons were born to the Andersons: Ida, Selma, Theodore, Alvar & Edwin "Paddy".

John Anderson, 78, died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon at his farm home on the Sturgeon River near Metropolitan, following a heart attack. He came to the United States when he was 19 & lived in Metropolitan for 22 years before moving to the farm. He was a charter member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving beside is wife, Brita,
are 2 daughters, Ida & Selma & 3 sons: Elvar, Edwin & Theodore.
