Clara A. Behnke, 83, Bonduel, died Tuesday in Green Bay. The daughter of the late Hulvor and Marie (Gilbertson) Olson was born Dec. 17, 1901, in the Town of Green Valley.
She married Robert W. Behnke in Oconto Oct. 14, 1925. The couple farmed in the Town of Lessor for 25 years. Her husband preceded her in death in Oct. 1953.
Mrs. Behnke lived in Bonduel for the past 29 years. She was a member of Our Savior A.L.C.W.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Betty) Katch, Oconto; one son, Robert and his wife, Eva Behnke, Shawano; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Celia LeFebre, Sun City, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, after 4 p.m. Thursday and at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Town of Lessor, from 9 until 11 a.m. Friday. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday, at the church, the Rev. Alvin Peterson officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano.
