Mrs. Vauytell Adams Robinson, age 84, of Reid Rd., Bremen, Ga., formerly Newnan, Ga., passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008. She was born Sept. 29, 1923 in Heard County, Ga., the daughter of the late Maude Street Adams and Ance Adams. She was a textile worker having worked for the Bibb Company and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands Cleveland Sam Robinson and John Thomas Robinson; her sons Kenneth Reed Robinson, Cleveland Sam Robinson, William John Robinson, and Don T. Robinson; a granddaughter Samantha Robinson Hannah.
Survivors include her children and their spouses Carol Turner of Bowdon, Linda and Bill Gresham, Sue and Bill Sullivan, Liz "Jane" Robinson and Linda Robinson all of Bremen; sisters Nina Bussey of Franklin, Niner Spradlin of LaGrange and Jane Dean of Roopville; also 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 4 p.m. from Pleasant Ridge Church with Rev. Grover Robinson and Rev. Ed Bailey officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Gresham, Bill Sullivan, Harry Queen, Bryan Muse, Tony Daniel, David Hope, Tony Tarpley, and Michael Church. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.
