Charmelle Adams, 96, of Owaneco, died Friday, January 17, 2014 in Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born August 12, 1917 in Pana, the daughter of Charles & Sophie Duchmann Faingnaert, deceased.
Charmelle had lived in Virginia, but lived in Owaneco the last several years. She worked as a C.N.A at Prairie Rose Health Care Center for over 20 years, and had also worked for Pana Community Hospital. She also loved her grandchildren and her pets.
Charmelle Faingnaert and Ned R. Adams were married on December 12, 1936. He preceded her on September 20, 1973.
She is survived by her children: Donald Adams & wife Connie, Taylorville, IL; Dorothy Adams & friend Claire Rolfson, Owaneco, IL; and Jane Travis, Pana, IL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and sister: Alexandrine Johnson, Pana, IL. She was also preceded by daughters: Norma Jean Coleman, Mildred Dial, & Jenice Lowery; sons: Gerald Adams & Earl Adams; brother, Charles; & sister, Sophie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Adams-Gordon Cemetery, Moweaqua. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
