Mary Hughes McMillan Miller

According to conversation with Sanford McMillan his grandfather (he remembers the name as Henry Sanford, his two given names reversed) enlisted in the Confederate Army and died in Chattanooga, Tennessee with some disease, possibly mumps.
Apparently this Wm. and Littleberry(his brother or cousin?) were awarded land in the 1832 Georgia Gold Lottery in the Northeast part of state. They both were from Greene County, Georgia, and I found both listed in Greene Cnty in the 1830 Ga Census index.
