DELHI, Oct. 31. — (Special) — H. Jack Broadnax, aged 53 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Geo. W. Montgomery, late Saturday afternoon. Funeral services wee conducted at the residence of Mrs. Montgomery by Rev. E. L. Averett, followed by interment in the Masonic cemetery Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Broadnax had been a resident of Bastrop for many years, but for the past few years, due to failing health, he had lived elsewhere.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Geo. W. Montgomery; one son, J. B. Bro[a]dnax, of Houston, Texas; two step-daughters, Mrs. W. C. Starret of Tallulah, and Mrs. Albert Brown of San Antonio, Texas.
