Sergeant Stanley D. Alexander, Metropolitan Police Department-Criminal Investigations Division, retired in October 1979, passed away on January 15, 2014. Sergeant Alexander's name will be added to the Memoriam pages.

Sergeant Alexander was appointed to the MPD on November 10, 1952 and retired on October 1, 1979.

On Wednesday, January 15, 2014; the beloved husband of Dorothy E."Lois" Alexander; loving father of Janice (Michael) Buerkli; grandfather of Alexander J. Buerkli; brother of Neil Alexander, Arlene Jamison and Thomas Alexander. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:00pm at Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, 6400 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Inurnment will be private.
