Death of E. B. Crissey of Jamestown.
Sunday morning's papers had a dispatch that shocked a great many friends in Chautauqua county, namely that Elverton B. Crissey, Vice Pres, of the Farmers and Mechanics Bank of Jamestown, died Saturday at nine a. m. of heart failure. He had been ill for three weeks, but was in the bank Thursday . The trouble began with an
attack of indigestion. Mr. Crissey was 64 years old, the youngest son of the late Harlow and Anna Shepard Crissey of Stockton. He was seven years in Missouri soon after his
marriage, but the rest of his life was spent in this county where he became the owner of several interior banks.
He was an enterprising and prized citizen of Jamestown. His son Harlow J. Crissey, President of the Citizens Trust Co. of Fredonia', was in Florida when his father died, but has come to the funeral. The other children are, Mrs. Frank Merz, Mrs. H. P. Robertson and Harold E. Crissey of Jamestown. Mrs. Crissey also survives.
