Ethel McMurtry Stowers, 76, passed away Saturday afternoon in Witham Hospital in Lebaon. She had been in failing health for the last six months.
She was born near Sheridan Nov. 6, 1882, the daughter of David and Mary Gibson McMurtry. She made her home in Sheridan with a neice, Mrs. Thelma Seats.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Dona Cox and Mrs. Anna Lovell, both of Sheridan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pettijohn Funeral Home in Sheridan with Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Crown View cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime.
