MARY ELLA HINES DIED FRIDAY
---------------------------
Body Brought to This City to Await Funeral Arrangements
Mrs. Mary Ella Hines, widow of Charles Hines, died early Friday morning in the Robert Long hospital at Indianapolis where she was taken only a few days ago for treatment. The body was brought to the undertaking parlors of the Stanford & Hayes company in this city, at noon Friday, and will remain there until arrangements are made for the funeral. It is thought that the services will be held sometime Sunday.
Mrs. Hines was seventy-four years of age and spent most of her life in this city and on a farm four miles north of Sheridan. The husband, who died several years ago, was a carpenter. Two or three years ago she fell, suffered a broken hip and was in the local hospital for several weeks. Later she was also in the hospital from the effects of an attack of pneumonia. Since then she has suffered with heart trouble which is said to have been the direct cause of her death.
She is survived by two sons, Earl of Chicago, and Leslie, of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Evan Bray, living two miles north of Noblesville, and a brother, William F. McMurtry, of Sheridan.
She was a sister-in-law of County Auditor Bert Hines.
The funeral will be held at the undertaking parlors of the Stanford & Hayes Company in this city at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and the interment will take place in Crownland cemetery.
