Married to John N. Culler.

In the 1860 census John and his family were living in Olive, Noble County, Ohio. He was listed as John Culler, a farmer, age 46, born in Pennsylvania, his wife, Sarah age 45 born in Pennsylvania, their children listed were, William age 21, James age 19, John age 17, Susanna age 14, Sarah E. age 14, and George age 10, all listed born in Pennsylvania.

In the 1870, census, John was living in Richmond Township, Nemaha County, Kansas. He was listed as, John Culler, a stone mason, a widower, age 57 born in Pennsylvania, his only two children still living with him were, James B. age 29, and George W. age 19, both born in Pennsylvania. (NOTE--his son John W. Culler was living next door to his property.)

In the 1875 census for Kansas, John was still living in Nemaha County, Kansas. He was listed as, a stone mason, age 61, born in Pennsylvania, his son, James was listed as J. B. Culler, a Engineer, age 31 born in Pennsylvania, and his son George W. Culler, was listed as, G. W. Culler, a Engineer, age 24 born in Ohio. Also living with the family was a P. Culler, (female) age 21 born in Pennsylvania. At this time I do not think she is a daughter of John. She may be a wife of James, or George?

In the 1880 census John was living with his son William Culler in Jackson Township, Noble County, Ohio. He was listed as John Culler age 66 born in Pennsylvania, and was a stone mason. It also stated his mother and father were both born in Pennsylvania.

This was recorded in the U. S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885--Name: Sarah A. Culler, Gender: Female, Race: White, Marital Status: Married, Place of Birth: Pennsylvania, Estimated Birth Year: abt 1817, Age: 53, Month of Death: February, Cause of Death: Intermittent Fever, Census Year: 1870, Census Location: (City, County, State) Richmond, Nemaha, Kansas, Line: 18, Archive Collection Number: T1130.
